I’m not here to sell you something.
This is about reminders, and it’s about spreading a message that matters. Quiet ones. The kind that speak through fabric and ink, through design and intention. The kind that don’t yell—but stay with you.
My name is AE. I’m the person behind HAMBANYA. And if I had to describe HAMBANYA in one sentence, it’s this:
This is my da’wah. Worn, not spoken.
Why This Exists
I’m not a preacher, I’m not a scholar, I’m not an ustaz. But I am someone who reflects a lot—on life, on purpose, on where we’re going.
And in all those reflections, one thing always stood out: we forget too easily. We forget who we are. Why we’re here. What we’re chasing. And most of all, Who we belong to.
That’s how HAMBANYA was born.
The Meaning Behind HAMBANYA
The name means “His servant.” That’s it. Nothing fancy. Nothing inflated.
Just a reminder that no matter who we are—rich, poor, successful, struggling, confident, broken—we’re all the same at the core. Just His servants.
Designing with Intention
I wanted to turn that idea into something real. Something you can hold. Wear. Feel. And maybe even pass on—through a glance, a comment, a simple question: “What does your shirt mean?”
That’s the magic of design with purpose. It travels. It connects. It makes people think.
Obsessed with the Details
I started obsessing over the details—what GSM would feel just right in our climate? What fit gives a relaxed but clean silhouette? How do I align the text so it feels balanced, grounded?
Even the space between the letters matters to me. Because everything I put out is part of the message.
Where the Messages Come From
The messages themselves? They’re personal. They come from things I’ve been through.
Moments where I felt lost, but found. Days when I needed a reminder and couldn’t find one. Thoughts that kept coming back at 2AM. And instead of keeping them in my head, I put them on fabric.

Simple, right? But they hit. Because we’ve all felt those moments. We just don’t always say them out loud.
No Hype. Just Heart.
I don’t release collections for the sake of dropping something new. Every design has to mean something. If it doesn’t make me feel something, I scrap it.
I want people to wear these not just because they look good—but because they say something they believe in. Or want to believe in. Or maybe… something they forgot, and needed to be reminded of.
This Is Bigger Than Me
And that’s what this is all about.
A quiet movement. A streetwear da’wah. A brand that chooses subtle over loud, message over trend, purpose over hype.
